CraigCare Berwick prides itself on its homely environment and connection with the community. CraigCare Berwick offers personalised rooms with individual and quality residential aged care accommodation. The Berwick aged care home contains 102 bedrooms – with a variety of single, shared, double and couples’ rooms. This allows choice for either your own privacy, for couples to stay together or for residents to make new and close friends through a shared room. Our larger single rooms and couple rooms have separate bed and lounge areas to allow for more space. Each room has generous built-in robes, emergency call button and free to air television. Wi-Fi and Foxtel is also available. Many rooms overlook courtyard gardens or meticulously maintained grounds to allow the scents of the surrounding sensory gardens to filter through. Our aged care health services are delivered with a holistic approach that focuses on the integration of high quality clinical care and support, great food and dining experience, and individualised activities to ensure our residents continue a high quality lifestyle. We offer multiple lounge and dining rooms, and living spaces full of natural light provide the perfect space to relax, socialise and entertain family and friends. CraigCare Berwick offers private dining facilities specifically to be used by residents and their family and friends for special events (e.g. birthday parties). CraigCare Berwick also has a library where residents can always find something new to read. Our beautiful gardens and courtyards are the ideal place to keep active with tending to the herb and vegetable gardens and for grandchildren and visiting pets to play. If you enjoy gardening, we can arrange for your very own planter beds to be installed so you continue to enjoy your gardening, just as you’ve always done. Our BBQ facilities are also available for family catch-ups. Quiet zones and more secluded spaces are also a feature of our design to allow for more private family visits. CraigCare Berwick also offers residents a hair salon to keep you looking and feeling your best. For aged care residents with dementia we have a space for wayfinding, a newly renovated courtyard, quiet zones and more secluded spaces. It is especially important for residents with dementia to be able to choose to be on their own or spend time with others. This requires designated areas and rooms that are of familiarity to the resident which also acts as a space for residents that is calming and invokes historical memories. CraigCare Berwick is an active member in the local community, with many of our residents winning multiple awards at the annual Berwick Show, year on year.
